I was in shock for a while when I realised that Amberkatze's Book Blog will be turning 2 on the 27th of April! Yes two years ago the blog started with just me letting my friends know what books I was reading and what I thought of them. Now there are alot of newsletter subscribers, loads of regular visitors and also great author interviews!

So in two weeks time there will be a few changes! I decided that the blog should get a Birthday present. So there will be a new banner and the colouring on the site will change a little. Also the blog address will slowly change...I have finally got an easier and shorter one!

If possible I will get some amazing author to celebrate with me...if not we can celebrate by ourselves. However I hope that you will all celebrate with me!

So make sure you come by in two weeks time to help me blow out the candles ;)

I just wanted to post a thank you to all my readers! This week I haven't had a chance to promote the interview & contest with Jaye Wells because I am on holiday and have limited Internet access. However despite my lack of promotion there have already been a huge amount of entries for the contest!

Thank you!

I also have to thank you all for telling your friends about Amberkatze's Book Blog. Last week the amount of visitors to the blog doubled!!!

Thank you!!!

Anyway...things should be back to normal on Thursday. I will be back home and will have some new reviews up.

Don't forget to enter the Jaye Wells contest!! See the sidebar for details!

There are two contests still open (see the sidebars) which close tomorrow. Mark Henry is giving away a signed copy of his book 'Happy Hour of the Damned' while Dakota Cassidy is giving away 3 books!

Make sure you enter the contests before Sunday 4pm CET for your chance to win!

I am home visiting my family so I maybe a little later than usual posting the results but I promise to have them up tomorrow.

Also tomorrow will see the start of a new contest and an author interview! I forgot my calender at home but I do believe Jaye Wells is my next guest! I loved her book and it is by far the best I have read so far this year. So I hope you pop in over the next week to check out her interview!

So I got an email about Hunted, the fifth book in the House of the Night series by P.C and Kristen Cast, and was really hoping it was to offer me an ARC to review. No such luck! Darn!

However there was this exclusive book trailer inside and so I decided to post it to a) remind people that the new installment is out soon b) maybe get some people interested in the series and lastly c) because I love this series and want to give it some hype.

So hopefully some of you out there will enjoy the trailer!

Read the first chapter of Hunted!

Or/and listen to the second chapter below -

Don't forget the Rae Lori contest!

The contest closes on Sunday so there are still a couple of days left to enter. Us entrants can win a copy of Rae's new release 'A Kiss of Ashen Twilight' while entrants from the rest of the world can win an e-book version! You can read the interview to find out more about the author and this vampire fairy book!

Oh and a little piece of news! There will be no author interview and contest this Sunday. Instead there will be one on Saturday! Yes this weeks interview and contest will be a Valentine's special and my guest is Cynthia Eden! So make sure you stop by to read about her upcoming release and to enter the contest!

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to be a guest on another blog! It was a great honour to be asked but also an interesting experience. After interviewing so many authors it was strange to be on the otherside of the questions and I really enjoyed it.

So this is your chance to get to know me a little better! Check out Erotic Horizon's interview with me here!

Oh and feel free to ask questions and let me know what you think!

I got an email today from author Justin Gustainis. His publisher arranged for an extensive excerpt from Evil Ways to appear on the Fantasy Bookspot website. So I am posting the link here for you all to go and have a look at because I have already read Evil Ways already and I absolutely loved it! Oh and if that excerpt isn't enough then check out the excerpt I posted back in May!

Hopefully Mr Gustainis will be paying Amberkatze's Book Blog a visit soon! So be on the lookout! Maybe he will have a contest...

SciFiGuy made this great video all about Paranormal Book covers. While the video makes some very good points I have to ask the question - Then what should a Paranormal book cover have on it???

So there are lots of butts, moons, tattoos etc but the majority of the covers, imho, actually capture something about the main character or the story.

So tell me about your favourite covers, the covers you hated and what you think should be on a cover. It will be interesting to hear what other lovers of the genre have to say!
