Heyyyyyyyy, everyone!
Okay, so I’m gonna keep this simple.
Accidents.
They happen, right?
And that’s what my “Accidental” series is based on—accidents.
Some big honkin’ “Oops, my bad” scenarios.
For instance, my next book (lookout—blatant promo ahead) The Accidental Human, on stands March 3, 2009 is about poor Wanda Schwartz, the third friend in a trio of women who’ve had some pretty crazy stuff go down. Like being bitten by a vampire and a werewolf. But Wanda’s different… she’s in some serious trouble, and it has nothing to do with a vampire or a werewolf. Well, it sorta does, and I know the title implies it’s not paranormal, but it is. Go on and figure that out. LOL
Obviously, the boo-boos in my series are pretty big—like life altering big. Accidentally being turned into a werewolf or a vampire is freaky-deaky. However, so far, at least for two of my heroines, it’s all turned out shiny. You’ll just have to wait and see if Wanda fares as well…
Anyway, then I began to think about titles and just how many accidents one can have i.e.; how many books can Dakota create with the theme “Sorry, it was an accident?”
Then I got some SPAM in my inbox (I promise I’m going somewhere with this)—and I’m totally serious about the subject header. It was “The Accidental Millionaire.” No lie. LOL. How bizarre is that, considering what the titles of my books are?
And here’s what I thought—I could write accidentals forevah. Really. Like, I dunno—The Accidental Mortician. How about, Accidentally Ogre? Or maybe The Accidental Breast Implant Salesman?
So, I thought— wouldn’t it be fun to see what you guys can come up with in the way of an accidental title? Whaddya say? Got some?

Ok, I've got one!! The Accidental Mommy! Storyline goes something like this....God decides he needs to have another Immaculate Conception to bring another savior into the world. Unfortunately, when he goes to zap the woman he has chosen, his aim goes awry, and he zaps the guy next door - the he-man of all he-men! (giggle)
I can think of all sorts of humorous problems that could entail. Hope you like the idea!
I just picked up your first book in the Accidental series, but haven't had the time to get to it yet. I look forward to reading it!

(3)Accidental Were Cat (she adopts a cute little kitty and it's a were cat. She changes for the first time when she starts her monthly!)

Accidentally Invisible - The heroine is visiting her geek buddy in his lab and he accidentally hands her the experiment he was working on to drink with their lunch. She starts turning invisible and the fun begins!
The Accidental Make-Up Girl - While wearing Bobbie-Sue make-up, woman is exposed to x-rays when she is at the dentist. Now the make-up won't come off, but keeps changing the woman's face so no one recognizes her. Every time she looks in the mirror, a different person looks back at her.

The Accidental Goddess: Suicide is supposed to be a one-way ticket to hell, so why does she suddenly find herself in charge of the Underworld?
Accidentally Yours: She steals a "love trinket" from the weird gypsy lady in hopes of catching the eye of a certain blue-eyed boy, but instead it attracts the attention of everything with a Y chromosome and turns them into love zombies.
Fun titles! I'll have to keep an eye out for them :)

How about The Accidental Superhero?
Maybe an impatient scientist wanted to test the "genius" formula on an unsuspecting human at the local coffee shop. But the main character is the clumsy, new employee who mixes up the order and ends up drinking it herself. So while the scientist is watching the wrong person, the mc is having all sorts of side effects...including suddenly able to fly (oh, and she's still a clutz, so you can imagine the fun that would be for her)

The Accidental Time Traveler... Where in the protagonist wakes up wherever/whenever - all it take is a good solid night of dreaming/
The Accidental Dragon... Just a little nip is all it took -
The Accidental Hottie -- you know; where the heroine ends up in a really hot place where they all want snow?! It's not easy being the devils handmaiden.

Accidentally Undead (a regular gal who somehow suffers an accident and now can see ghosts)
Accidental Lover (a cute, mousy girl who ends up attracting the attention of the wrong guy & she ends up having these fantastic erotic dreams..but is she really dreaming or are they real? )
