So it is Monday again and yet again I didn't manage to post a round-up yesterday but I think Sundays are full enough! The new contest and author interview is always on a Sunday so maybe the round-up will keep appearing on a Monday.

On the subject of contests I wanted to remind people who aren't already signed up for my newsletter about the monthly draw! Now I am a little lazy sometimes so I am really glad to go over to sites such as Literary Escapism and Vampire Wire to find out everything I need to know about what is going on lately. If you want to know when Twilight is really coming out and where all the hot contests and author interviews are then I can highly recommend putting both sites on your bookmarks!

My picture this week is yet again Life on Mars. I have finished Carnivale (need to get the 2nd series now) and I have moved on to the second series of this amazing show. If you haven't tried this yet and have the chance..Do it!

Now I haven't come across much else on my online travels that nobody else has posted about so I am going to leave the round up there. However I am going to ask you guys out there a question. I hope I will get some informative answers.

Why Teen/YA books??? Now I love alot of the Teen/YA books and series out there but I am getting a little worried about how many authors are now suddenly joining in. Rachel Vincent announced a while back that she will be doing her own YA series and last month Yasmine Galenorn also gave us the great news. Now I have heard Kim Harrison is joining in and I am sure many more authors are too.

So why?

As some of you already know I will be hitting the big 30 in a couple of days. So I am off to Prague to get slightly drunk and drown my sorrows! So things will be a little quiet over here on Amberkatze's Book Blog until Sunday.

Yay! Sunday!!! And I don't have to go to work tomorrow, well actually for the next 2 weeks, so I am in a good mood ;)

Picture this week is 'Life on Mars' a great TV series about a British police detective who somehow ends up in 70's. Great fun and loads of action. If you haven't checked it out yet then go have a look and maybe give it a try.

My guest last week was Angie Fox and she and her author friends have been giving alot of books away over on Something Wicked. I haven't won anything because I haven't been checking in often enough...I think I need to make sure I go over there every day.

Darque Reviews is back in force and there are some amazing reviews if you like Rachel Caine, Kat Richardson or Charlaine Harris! There are also a few others that had me adding some more books to my every growing wishlist.

Remember when Jeri Smith-Ready was here a few weeks ago? Well if you didn't win that signed copy of her brilliant book 'Wicked Game' you can try your luck over on Sidhe's blog! There is also an interview if you want to find out more about Jeri!

My friend Terra is on a rant...What do you think of rating systems? Is it worth having 5 stars? an A+? She also posted it on Yankee Romance Reviews which also has a new look....

Another site with a new look is Patricia's Vampire Notes and Urban Fantasy Land. With so many sites renovating I wonder if I should also do something new?

While browsing around I found a new site for me to add to my every growing list of sites I like is The Good, The Bad and The Unread. Catchy name isn't it? Check it out!

Oh and don't forget about Vampire Genre being back up! If you took it off your list of blogs to visit then add it back again.

I have mentioned 'Hide-a-Book' before but now I can highly recommend hiding your book! I ordered a couple for myself and a couple for a friend. We both love them. Nothing better to hide those sexy porn like vampire covers on public transport and from family. If you haven't already had a look then just take a peak! They make great pressies!

The question over on Suburban Vampire this week is what is the must have trait you need for your vampire? Also the site has a new look!

It has been a great month here on Amberkatze's Book Blog and it isn't over yet!! I hit 200 books read over the weekend and the site has now had over 10,000 hits!!! There are an amazing amount of subscriptions to the newsletter and so I want to give something back!

Each month I will randomly pick someone from my newsletter subscribers and they will win a prize! The prize will always be announced before hand so you can all drool over it and the prize will most likely be a book! I hope that is ok with everyone ;)

Because this is the first month I am running this and because my Birthday is at the end of the month. I will be giving away 3 books to start us off! That means there will be 3 winners!!!

To enter you have to be signed up to my newsletter. Your subscription must be verified otherwise you will not be entered.

On the 31st of July...no scrap that as I am going to be getting very drunk that day....on the 3rd of August (back from getting drunk then) I will pick the winners using RaffleKing. I will contact the three winners via the emails they signed up for the newsletter
with.

The winners then have a week to reply to me saying which book they prefer, what their second choice would be and then their 3rd choice.

First come first served!

If one of the winners doesn't reply in time a new winner will be picked.

All of my books are registered on Bookcrossing.com. This means they have a number written inside them. You do not have to be a member of Bookcrossing to enter and I do not expect the winners to join Bookcrossing or journal the book.
