Riley Jenson is a Guardian and is the one who usually comes face to face with the worst villains. So it doesn't surprise her in the slightest when she comes up against a sorceress who can raise the dead. On the other side of things Riley is also helping solve a series of brutal slayings in the vampire community. Mixed in with the heat of the upcoming full moon her werewolf hormones are running wild and she finds it hard to keep them under control when she comes across Kye Murphy.

Riley threatens the bounty hunter with arrest if she finds him messing with her cases again but the rogue wolf doesn't seem to care. Her wolf side is curious about Kye while her vampire side is totally hot for Quinn. Could it be possible for her to have two souls? A friend mentioned it but she didn't take it seriously until now.

This seventh book in the Riley Jenson series wasn't as hot as the previous books. Things were steamy but not as wild. Now that Riley is with Quinn it seems she is trying to stick with one guy. However on saying that the book left things a little open in that respect. I wonder what will happen between Riley and Kye in the future.

Another great mystery in the paranormal world this series has been on my must read list since it all started with Full Moon Rising. I have followed Riley this far and I am not giving up on her. She is an amazing character, strong and self aware. I enjoy reading about her and hope that the time between now and book number eight passing quickly.

Private Investigator Nikki James life is a little crazy at the moment. A teenager is missing, someone is kidnapping rich people, her friend is in hospital and she has to go up against a vampire. If that wasn't enough to keep her busy 'her' vampire is back.

Michael Kelly has returned and doesn't really want to have a confrontation with Nikki. However when the kidnapper ups the ante they to put their problems aside and work as partners. Trying to keep his bloodlust under control is getting easier but controlling his feelings for Nikki isn't simple. Especially when she wants them to be together.

The past comes to haunt Michael while they are working on the case and Nikki sees a new side to her vampire. Danger is around every corner for the unlikely pair and even though Micheal isn't easy to kill, Nikki isn't so sure if she is immortal or not.

The Nikki and Michael vampire series is being re-released like most of Keri Arthur's older books. Of course I love her Riley Jenson series and can't stop myself from trying out these other paranormal offerings. However I have to say that this time around I didn't really like the characters and plot much. I remember really likely the first part in this series, Dancing with the Devil, when I read it a while back. While this second book was ok the previous book was, imho, much better.

I will of course still carry on with the series. After all this is a great author and a good concept. With alot of paranormal and a huge helping of romance this is something that alot of readers will enjoy. I however felt the story moved too fast, was slightly confusing and just lacked a certain something. It might sound strange but I would call this 'old school' paranormal romance. Nothing urban or fantastic about it.

There is someone murdering humans on the Ripple Creek Werewolf Reservation and they are similar to those that Chief Ranger Savannah Grant witnessed nearly ten years ago. Cade Jones is in Ripple Creek to help catch a killer but he doesn't expect to come across the woman who helped him solve the murders ten years ago. Vannah Grant as she called herself back then is now the person he has to work with to solve the new murders. Could the killer be the man they thought was dead or is it a copycat killer they are dealing with?

Both Savannah and Cade will have to sort out their feelings for each other and solve the murders at the same time. Savannah will have to trust Cade and he will have to show her he is a vital part of the investigation. If they don't capture the killer it is only a matter of time before the killer realises who they both are and comes after them.

This is the second book in the Ripple Creek series that has been re-released this year in the UK & Europe. First published back in 2004 it isn't easy to get hold of Keri Arthur's pre Riley Jenson books but Piatkus has been busy getting them back on the shelves.

This was a wonderful paranormal read filled of murder mystery and romance. Arthur's brilliant writing style glowed as always but I have to say that I do love the Riley Jenson series more. It has been great to finally get to read these books and I will look forward to reading the other re-releases such as the Nikki & Michael series. However I can see Riley being, for me, the top read from this author.

From the biggest names in paranormal romance, this book is filled with over 25 stories about vampires! In the world of the undead there are strange codes of conduct, dark rituals and mating games. Lilith Saintcrow, Keri Arthur, Jenna Black, Rachel Vincent & Vicki Petterson are just a few of the great authors who contributed to this mammoth book. Vampire Romance is the name and that is exactly what you get in this huge anthology.

I could go into detail and review each individual story in this book but that would take a lot of time. The general conclusion is that this book was amazingly good for an anthology. Not only do you have a wide selection of super authors but there are also alot of brilliant stories. Some of the authors have even written stories with characters from their popular books while others show they can write something different for a change.

Sure some were not to my tastes, for instance I am not a historical vampire romance fan, however the book in general was of very high standard and a must read for any paranormal romance fans out there. This was the best anthology I have read in a while and I hope they do this kind of collection again. Of course there are some other authors I would have liked to see in this one but all in all the genre was represented very well. Oh but there were no male writers...

The blurb for Destiny Kills didn't give much away. Was this really a paranormal? A fantasy? In the end it was a matter of 'Who cares, Keri Arthur is the author'. So imagine my surprise when it became clear that the creatures in this story are dragons! With my current addiction to my online dragons this story came at the perfect time. Dragons are amazing creatures and I haven't read enough books about them.

Keri Arthur has, yet again, written an amazing tale that has just the right amount of romance, alot of mystery and a good healthy helping of magic. A new series that I hope will continue sooner rather than later, this is a must read for any Arthur fans and of course for anyone who loves dragons. With a new Riley Jenson book due out in Spring and more of Arthur's older books being re-released in the UK this is an author you have to try because she has so much variety and talent on offer.

There is a killer on the loose on the Ripple Creek Reservation and so far three women have been found dead. A fourth victim survived but Savannah Grant is a ranger and is in hospital fighting for her life. Her twin sister, Neva, shared the horror of the attack through their physical link. The rangers believe that Duncan Sinclair has something to do with the attacks and so Neva decides to seduce him and carry on the hunt that her sister started.

Duncan is a drinker and a love them and leave them kind of guy. He has a reputation but he is called back to Ripple Creek to help his family find the killer. He wants to get the killer and leave town again but when he meets Neva his plans change. Duncan and Neva have to learn to trust each other so they can work together to find a murderer. With their emotions getting in the way they may just miss the vital clues they need to find out which werewolf is trying to tear the reservation apart.

Keri Arthur is well known as the writer of the Riley Jenson Series. However before that series she wrote some others that were expensive and hard to get hold on. So I was very happy to hear that Piatkus books are releasing some of the past books and finally letting the fans get to know this author better. This first release is the first part in the Ripple Creek series. Beneath a Darkening Moon is also avaliable and after reading Beneath a Rising Moon I can't wait to visit Ripple Creek again.

Of course this book does not make as much impact as the Riley Jenson books but it is still paranormal writing at its best. Keri Arthur has a wonderful writing style and her books are always filled with mystery, romance and werewolves. The author has managed to pull off this great combination again and has also made it hot and sexy for good measure. Keep an eye out for the next upcoming releases and if you are a Riley Jenson Series fan then get this book!
