I promised a new contest but I haven't been too well this week and didn't get around to posting one. So better late than never here is the new contest! What is up for grabs?
The new anthology 'Weddings from Hell' (see my review below) with stories by Maggie Shayne, Jeaniene Frost, Terri Garey & Kathryn Smith.
EDIT -
Thanks for offering my book as your prize, Amberkatze! Great idea for a contest! I can't enter, but four authors I'd like to read an anthology by would be Anne Rice, Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Joyce Carol Oates. I think I'd have a hard time putting that one down!
By the way, let me sweeten the pot on your contest by offering an autographed bookmark to go with the book - let me know who the winner is, and the bookmark will be in the mail!
Terri Garey
Many thanks Terri!!! The signed bookmark is a great addition to the book prize!
How to enter!
Post a comment on this thread telling me what 4 authors you would love to see getting together to make an anthology! Who knows! They may pop by and get some ideas from us ;)
You can enter until Friday the 13th! Yes the day of being unlucky will be lucky for someone! and if you don't name 4 authors I will not put your name in the draw!
So enter away and tell your friends ;)
Labels: Contests, Just for Fun, New Releases
No offence to the authors in this anthology,(I love them all as writers), but they've already been put together in this book, so I'll pick four other authors. :)
Hmmm...Laurell K. Hamilton, Adrian Phoenix, JF Lewis and Mark Henry all writing stories for an anthology would be really cool!
Hope you're feeling better Amber. :) *Hugs*

OOoh, I have been wanting to read this book so bad. Please toss my name in the hat!!
I think I'd like to see Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Peter Straub, and Richard Laymon do anthology.
Or for a lighter mood anthology...
Kristin Hannah, Nicholas Sparks, Barbara Delinsky, and Sarah Strohmeyer.
Cheers,
Rebekah (aka littleminx @ bookcrossing)

I'll keep entering your awesome contests 'til I win one **lol** This anthology looks like fun, so I'd love to win it. Mind you, for authors writing in anthologies, I don't know enough of the PUF type people to pick a good mix. I think it would be wonderful to read a collection of short stories by Amy Tan, Anchee Min, Lisa See, and Ha Jin, if any of them were interested in writing short stories. PUFishly, I know that Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman work really well together (and Neil is well versed in the short story genre), and Diana Wynn Jones's style should blend in reasonably well, but for a fourth name to toss into the mix...? Oooh! Someone I haven't seen much from for a while: Brian Froud!

Hi Amber, Thanks for the giveaway and giving us a chance to win. This book is on my wish/want list.
RachaelfromNJ sent me over. Thanks Rachael :-)
I would love to see several of my favorite authors get together and right an anthology. Will name four for now *g*
Cathryn Fox, Sasha White, Lucinda Betts and Bonnie Edwards. I bet this would be one hot anthology :-)

On my screen your blog is really really really hard to read. Not enough contrast.
But I like the contest and can't resist entering.
I am from Sweden and I might pick ones that are unknown to you, I hope that is OK. I really like some of the ideas above, Dean Koontz is a real favourite. And I like Rebekah's idea for a lighter anthology.
My choice:
Åsa Nilsonne, Barbara Voors, Katerina Janouch, Kajsa Ingemarsson

(It's not Friday here yet -- does that count? :D )
Oooh, narrowing it down to four authors is tough, 'cos I can think of way more than just four!....
Anne Bishop, because I'll never get enough!
Kelley Armstrong and Lois McMaster Bujold for the same reason!
And Charlaine Harris because she tells darn good stories, at any length!
