M.J. Holliday can communicate with the dead and has been using her gift to do a bit of ghost busting. Unfortunately there isn't as much ghost busting work out there as she thought there would be but her best friend and business partner Gil is about to take care of that for her.

When Gil gets approached by a TV company asking if M.J. would be interested in taking part in a new show called Haunted Possessions, he tricks her into signing up for the gig. As soon as M.J., Gil and her boyfriend Steven arrive at the hotel where the filming is to take place, things start to go very wrong.

With the help of fellow psychic, Heath, M.J. starts to track down and send on all the ghosts that haunt the hotel. She also gets mixed up in a murder investigation and then there is the small problem of a demon on the loose. With so many spooks on the premises and one evil spirit actually able to cut and possess people, this really is going to be a trip that M.J. will never forget.

Three books into the Ghost Hunter mystery series and I am hooked. Possession being one of the themes in this book seemed ironic, seeing as I felt possessed by the book. I just had to keep reading till the end and hated having to put down this action filled read. Spooky, creepy and chilling this cozy paranormal mystery was the best yet out of the series and I hope that the wait for book number four will not be a long one.

I have enjoyed this author's Psychic Eye series but I absolutely love this ghost busting delight. Worth checking out and definitely not one to read in the dark or if you are home alone. Do you really believe things that go bump in the night? This series really has a knack for making it all seem real whether you believe in it all or not.

Abby's FBI boyfriend, Dutch, needed a little time to accept her psychic abilities but now he is a true believer. So when he finds out his cousin has been kidnapped there is nobody he needs more than Abby. With Abby's visions to help them they are sure that it will be easy to find out what happened to Chase. So off they jet to Las Vegas where Abby can clearly see that Dutch's cousin is still alive. However when they start investigations things the case isn't adding up. Time is against them and Abby can only keep checking Chase's photo to make sure she can still see him alive.

If that wasn't enough to keep Abby busy she is also worried about Dutch. He has been running a fever and doesn't seem well at all. Also she is concerned about him not wanting to involve the FBI in the case. Surely he should want them to help? Or maybe her boyfriend is keeping secrets from her? Either way Abby is not giving up on Dutch or his cousin. She is going to get to the bottom of things even if she has to risk her life to do so.

Death Perception is the 6th book in the Psychic Eye series and although it was enjoyable I didn't like this one as much as the previous books. I really like Abby and her team of friends and it was nice to see her in a different setting and meeting new people. It was great to catch up with my favourite psychic but I really couldn't really cuddle up with this cozy mystery like the other books in this series.

The plot was clever and exiting but it was way too complex. Also the action was way over the top which left me having to take breaks after nearly every single chapter. I needed to relax and take everything in before continuing. For a cozy mystery this was too heavy and complicated and could have done with a little bit more snuggle.

I love this series and Death Perception hasn't put me off. Anyone who has been following and enjoying this series should not be put off either. It was a good read but it just wasn't, imho, as light and cuddly as usual. Also be aware that there is a year wait to the next book in the series. So if you don't like long waits then keep this one unread for a little longer.
