Zoey and her friends are on the run. Hidden in Tulsa's prohibition tunnels they start to plan what they will do next. Going back to the House of the Night doesn't seem like a good idea but staying in the tunnels won't help their situation either. The new Red fledglings have made the tunnels very homely and they are all willing to help Zoey and her gang. However Zoey senses that there is something they aren't telling her but she has other problems she needs to take care of.

Kolona has taken over The House of the Night and with the help of Neferet and his Raven Mockers the place is locked up tight. The gang are not ready to go back to the school but when Zoey gets hurt they have no choice but to walk back into the school they used to call home so that she will survive.

If fighting evil and saving the world wasn't enough to handle, the young priestess Zoey also has guy problems. Erik wants to get back together with her, Heath is hanging around and Stark could be evil but Zoey likes him alot. However that is nothing compared to the gorgeous Kolona. He maybe a nasty piece of worth but he is hot and wants Zoey for himself.

This fifth book in the series picks up the story where the reader was left hanging in 'Untamed'. After a few chapters of catch-up things settle down into another House of the Night story filled with action, suspense and vampyres. Feelings run high all the way through as the plot unfolds and it becomes clear that Zoey and the gang are not to worried about getting good grades this school year.

Another enjoyable and addictive addition to the series my only worry is that I knew what Zoey had to do before she did it. Are the boyfriends taking up too much of her thinking time? Maybe she should give up on the guys altogether until everything is back to normal. After all she is only seventeen and could do with the break!

Definitely one of the best young adult paranormal series on the market this is one series that my friends ask to borrow and one I keep in my permanent collection. Unique, special and not so over the top, reading an installment of the House of Night series is like catching up with old friends.

I look forward to book six and highly recommend anyone who hasn't tried this series to give it a go. It maybe young adult based but there is something in there for everyone.

I'm really looking forward to reading this when I get it in April from BN (=

But I'm pretty sure Hunted is the fifth book in the series.

I knew that!

It was a long night last night and we lost an hour here in Europe.

Thanks for pointing it out!
