Christmas is the happiest time of the year for a mystery shopper. Well it would be for Josie if she had any mystery shopping to do. So when she has the chance to go and mystery shop at one of the three Christmas shops that have all opened within two blocks of each other she knows it will mean a bigger tree for her daughter Amelia.

However there turns out to be a big problem. Not only is the shop Josie has to rate owned by her boyfriends ex but he has invested in the shop and it has a very bad rating. Suddenly Josie finds herself in a very awkward place in her relationship and her boyfriends teenage daughter isn't helping things very much.

Then someone turns up on her doorstep that she never expected to see again. Problems with her family, relationship and work all start piling up but Josie will get to the bottom of everything and get into the Christmas spirit even if it means her reputation will be ruined forever. Will Josie solve the case and save the day again? Or are things too close to home this time?

I really needed a cozy mystery read and this was exactly what I got in this fourth Mystery shopper book. A little light on the mystery shopping this time around but this new edition to the series still hits the spot in the mystery area. We find out alot more about Josie and her daughter this time around and at first I started to get annoyed with the family focus on this book. However by the time I got through the first half of Murder With All the Trimmings I was hooked and needed to see how things ended.

A slightly different feel to the series this time around but still well written and very interesting. I love the characters and can't wait to see what will happen to them next. I liked the Christmas theme to this one and it has me looking forward to the holidays. Although I don't want any pornaments ;)

Thanks for reading and reviewing MURDER WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS. I tried to write a slightly different book this time, to keep from saying the same thing over and over. Delighted that you read it -- and I promise more mystery shopping in the next Josie book.
