Nocturne City is a place filled with witches, demons, werewolves and other things that go bump in the night. Luna Wilder is a homicide detective and a werewolf who is just one of the people trying to keep things peaceful for all concerned. It isn't always easy though as Luna has already found out and now she is back to work and things are not going the way she would have liked.

Dead bodies are turning up all over town and even though they seem like open and shut cases of drug overdoses Luna's instincts tell her otherwise. Then Luna gets a partner who she loves to hate and the case opens up even more. War is brewing between rival clans and Luna is suddenly stuck in the middle of it all. She has a partner who isn't very useful and an ex who is suffering with a mysterious illness as back-up. Things are looking deadly and Luna hopes that her death isn't on the cards this time.

Pure Blood is the second part in the Nocturne City series was just as delicious and fun to read as the first book, Night Life. I love Luna and her feisty and wild ways and she really had some amazing lines! This is Urban Fantasy at its best and I can't wait for more. If you haven't already read the first book Night Life then I recommend you try it asap! This is Kim Harrison mixed with Rachel Caine and Lilith Saintcrow. Dark, Delectable and Dangerously good! Roll on book #3 Second Skin due out in March 2009!!

Find out more about the author and her books in my interview with Caitlin Kittredge.

Caitlin also has a short story in the anthology My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon
