Garnet has been hunted by Vatican witch hunters but they now think she is dead. The FBI were after her but luckily that case has been closed. She still has the goddess Lilith inside her but wouldn't it be weird if she went away? So what is Garnet up to? She is hopefully buying the occult bookstore she manages and she is starting a new coven with her vampire finance!! Yes fiance!!! Sebastian proposed!

Everyone knows that when things start looking up then something is going to come along and ruin them. Garnet is only just getting used to being engaged when Sebastian suddenly disappears. Has he been kidnapped? Or has he run off with one of his 'donors'? Help comes in the form of her future stepson Mátyás but can she trust him? After all he did turn her over to the witch hunters so he could get a cool car.

If coping with the stepson and disappearance of her finance isn't enough to keep her occupied there is also a shape-shifter stalking her. Will she find out what he wants? Or will he just take it?

This is the 3rd book in the Garnet Lacey series and it was great to visit the character again. This was a great adventure and I really like having Sebastian's son involved again. He maybe a bit of a bad boy but he is also fun. I also love the resident ghost in Sebastian's house, Benjamin. With some new characters also coming into the book who may stay thanks to the new coven this series is really picking up steam and I hope the next book will be released sooner rather than later.

If you haven't already tried this 'Life's a Witch' series then go get 'Tall, Dark and Dead' and give it a go. This is a magical and paranormal fun series with a lovable heroine and her cat!

You've been very busy reading again Amber. *grin* (I know...you never stop) I'm a Garnet fan as well, and I had to laugh when you mentioned Benjamin...he's got to be the most obnoxious ghost ever, but once in a while you just can't help but like him. :)

I wish I had more time to read lately. I have actually made a slow start to the month...I am home ill so maybe I can catch up between sleeping ;)

I love Benjamin and he should get a bigger part next time!

Hope you feel better soon. :)

I keep expecting another ghost to come along so he has someone to really tear up the house with. *grin*
