Maggie O’Neill's mother manages to guilt her into looking after her pregnant sister. Mel who is supposed to have complete bed rest isn't an easy patient to look after. However the strange spirits in Mel's house are of more concern to Maggie and she is especially weary because her two nieces seem to be able to see and talk to some of them. How can Mel's almost new house be haunted?Of course trouble never comes alone because then a friend of Mel's loses her husband in a fall. The police are sure it was accidental but Maggie's intuition is saying otherwise and so in true Maggie style she sets out to find out as much as she can from her boyfriend and detective, Tom. Meanwhile Maggie gets a new pet to keep her company while Tom is busy working all hours. Will Maggie lose interest in the crime fighting Tom and fall into the arms of the magical Marcus?
