Tezra Campbell's parents were killed by vampires ten years ago. After all this time she is still trying to find the rogue vampire killer. Her job as a telepathic investigator helps her get closer to finding the murderer and her hunter skills come in handy when she needs them. Alone, her sister is a traumatized shell, she obsesses over the past and eventually even uses herself as bait.

Daemon was the former bastard prince of Scotland but is now head of the American vampire clans. He sees Tezra as a danger to herself and to his people. Concerned about the fact that she is using herself as bait he starts to worry when his own brother could be accused of the crime. Daemon takes Tezra into custody, intending to keep her out of the way so he can find the killer himself.

Things don’t work out the way anyone planned and the more Teura fights Daemon him Tith her telepathic powers, the more she stirs up his sexual bloodlust. The bloodlust she is awakening is the kind only a mate can cool and Tezra begins to wonder if her desire for him real? or is Daemon just using her to find the murderer?

Full of mystery, action and vampires this story has a good mix of the proper elements needed for a good vampire tale. Fast, detailed and entertaining this was a good read but not really my cup of tea. Enough romance for the people who like that kind of thing, something was missing for me. Of course this doesn't mean nobody should read it, just that this reader isn't putting it on her top 10 list.

I will be keeping an eye on this author and hope I will have the pleasure of reading something else of hers again.
