Private detective, Felix Gomez, returned from the war in Iraq with a thirst for blood, a garlic allergy and pale skin that didn't like the sun. His latest case is working for a porn star named Katz Meow. She wants Felix to investigate the murder of her friend Roxy Bronze. The investigation should be easy but Felix doesn't realise that he is actually walking into something alot bigger.

First Katz Meow is nowhere to be found. Then the people he questions keep turning up dead and there are some attempts on his life. With the vampire secret not being so secret in L.A he teams up with a crazy vamp called coyote to get to the bottom of the case that is turning into a nightmare. Hopefully he will put the pieces together before a silver bullet puts him to pieces.

X-Rated Bloodsuckers is the sequel to The Nymphos of Rocky Flats. While I enjoyed the first book in this series I definitely enjoyed this second part more. Now I know Felix better I felt at ease with him and his quirky ways. He is a fascinating vampire and detective who has an interesting way of thinking. His coyote partner in this book made for more giggles than I was expecting and I hope that this character will surface again in future books.

I like this authors style and can't wait to read book three in this series called The Undead Kama Sutra. I start to see a theme appearing in these books and it makes me wonder how many female readers this author has. Definitely aimed at the male audience this series is a must read for both males and females who love Paranormal Urban Fantasy because this is a fast, fun and fantastic look on all things vampire with a curious but super main character.

Love the scifi angle in these otherwise urban fantasy books. VERY curious to see where in the world or out of it, it will take us in the fourth book.

Huge Acevedo fan here, but I had no idea he had a new series out. Thanks for the info!
