Bonnie Pinkwater is a school teacher with a knack for finding trouble. This time the wrestling coach turns up dead while one of her students was with him. Of course she doesn't believe the boy could have committed the crime and starts her own investigation into the murder. Bonnie gets so involved that she nearly gets killed and faces losing her job. Will she manage to stop an innocent boy going to jail or will she end up unemployed...or worse!

I have been fighting with two books this week A Calculated Demise
finally won. I really enjoyed the first book in this series The Witch of Agnesi and also liked this one. Not too complicated but a nice cosy mystery, this keeps you guessing to the very end. I didn't realise who the murderer was any sooner than Bonnie and that makes this a very good read! My only problem was seeing Bonnie as an older woman. I keep imagining her as being around 30 or 40 but she is obviously alot older.

Nice characters, good plot and something to get lost in. I will be looking out for Irrational Numbers the next book in the series and hope Bonnie doesn't get into as much trouble next time!
