Ten years ago Lola Malone was offered Ten Thousand pounds to leave her boyfriend. She was seventeen and needed the money so she went ahead and broke not only Dougie's heart but her own as well. Dougie's mother got what she wanted and Lola managed to do the right thing with the money she was given. However secrets always have a way of being brought out into the open and it is only a matter of time before Lola's going to have to do some explaining.

Ten years later in a twist of fate Lola ends up seeing Dougie again and the whole money thing comes out. She would love to try things again with Dougie but he doesn't want anything to do with her. So when his sister becomes Lola's friend and neighbour he tries his best to stay away. Will Lola manage to convince Dougie that she only did what she did because she loved him? Will he be able to understand that she can never tell him what she used the money for? What is a girl to do with An Offer You Can't Refuse?

I used to read alot of Chick-lit books before I fell into the world of paranormal. I don't read as many now because there are only so many 'my boyfriend dumped me and I am 30 and all alone' stories I can put up with. However Jill Mansell doesn't write your normal everyday Chick-lit but she does write a bloody good story with funny, interesting and amazing characters. Every book I have read by this author has been a joy to read and this newest addition, An Offer You Can't Refuse, is no exception. I love the stories and how the characters grow and develop throughout the book. Jill Mansell is a great writer and I will carry on buying her books for as long as she keeps writing them.

Thank you Jill for another great feel good book!
