Claire Morgan has transformed overnight. She used to be the mousy school teacher but suddenly she is bold, confident and she feels sexy. Even her colleagues and students notice her total makeover and wonder what is happening to Claire.

Gideon comes and tells Claire exactly what has happened to her but she won't believe it. Bitten by a werewolf? He has to be insane. She was attacked by a dog but Gideoen keeps following her and says he will have to kill her because she is now a lycan and he is a lycan hunter.

It takes some time but Claire realises that Gideon is telling the truth and Claire wants to turn things back and Gideon wants to help her. Is there a way for her to beat the transformation she will go through on the upcoming full moon? Will Gideon be able to keep Claire from the other hunters? and finally will they both manage to sort out their feelings for each other?

This is the first book in a new series and I was hooked from page one. Not intense or dark this was just a great story about werewolves, sorry lycans, with some romance. There was action and some mystery in this one and a really good storyline. Even though lycans have been written about so many times this author has managed to put a new fresh touch to things and I enjoyed her style and hated to see the book come to an end.

Marked by Moonlight has a Lori Handeland Moon series feel to it. The next book, Kiss of a Dark Moon, is out in Autumn and I already have it on my pre-order list. I hope this is the start of a long series because if this book is anything to go by this is a series I am going to love.
