Cody Elliot is proud of his F filled report card. It is exactly what he wanted. Why? Because it is not what his Dad wants. Well Cody doesn't care what his Dad wants because his Dad obviously didn't think about his feelings when he moved him allthe way to Sodom.

Cody's plan to get him back to California backfires though. His Dad decides that Cody should go to a harder school where he can't get away with this kind of attitude. So off he goes to Vlad Dracul.

The school is strange for a public school and the prinicipal is 7ft tall and has a pet wolf. The students wear sunglasses in Winter and it isn't long before Cody finds out who or what his classmates really are.

All differences aside this turns out to be the perfect High school for Cody. All he has to do is play in the Water Polo team and he will take home straight A's. Things aren't that easy though and Cody finds himself in the middle of some things he doesn't really understand.

This was a fun story about fitting in, being true to yourself and making a difference. It was easy to read and extremely entertaining. The author obviously put alot of thought into the kind of vampires he wanted and he has come great characters. Although this is aimed at teens this is nice quick and laugh out read that any age would enjoy. I am off to see if the author has written more about Cody and his vamp friends!

I haven't heard of this novel yet. It sounds like a fun read.

I agree. This must go to the top of my to-be-read list.

There are some great Young Adult titles that us older folks can enjoy!

I haven't been able to find any more books in this series so maybe it is just a one off. When I have more time I will try and track down the author and see if there is any news on more Vampire High books.
