John Taylor is a PI for hire in the Nightside, a dark and corrupt city within the city of London. The sun never shines in the Nightside and it isn't a very nice place to live or visit.

The Nightside is about to be destroyed by John Taylor's mum. The mother he has tried to find for so long has turned out to be the only one that nobody can stop. Nobody that is except her own child.

John can stop her but he has seen the future of the Nightside and he knows that it is doomed. He also knows it is his fault. So how will he manage to stop his mother and save the Nightside? John is feared by many but everyone knows that if anyone can do it he can.

This was a really interesting book in the Nightside series. After looking for his mother so long things finally come out into the open and it is explosive! This world is extremely entertaining and while it is dark and disturbing it is also quite amusing.

If you haven't already visited the Nightside then start at the beginning and give it a go. You maybe pleasantly surprised at how much you will like this crazy city hidden under London.
