I would have finished this book days ago if I hadn't ended up in bed ill. I managed to finish today because I am feeling a little better but the story had me hooked from page one and if I had read this on a weekend it would have been finished within a couple hours.
I love Jenna Black's 'Watchers in the Night' series and this new series is just as good if not better! The characters, storyline and writing style are perfect and I couldn't believe how addicted I got to the story! I was reading at every opportunity and even walking down the street and reading!
One thing I have to warn people about is the erotic nature of this story. Now the world has demons posessing willing hosts and not so willing hosts so the demons like to have their kicks. So this story does, at times, get very erotic but not too graphic. There are S & M scenes and gay content so if you are put off by this then don't bother.
Usually I would be put off a book by this kind of content but how else would demons be? and credit to the author who makes the scenes short and doesn't go into extended detail.
Good writing and an amazing book which now leaves me hanging on till August for the next installment called 'The Devil you know'. I hope she is also writing more 'Watchers in the Night'!

Thanks for the lovely review! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And yes, there is another book coming in the Guardians of Night series. Hungers of the Heart (Drake's book) will be coming out in May. (You probably already saw that on my blog, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
